Skill server rankings

I want to get everyones ideas of how the skill servers should rank players. I want to make ranks based off of player's skill instead of time played, but I'm not sure which method I want to use. If you have suggestions you should keep in mind there are multiple styles that have to be taken into consideration.

For Jailbreak for t's we could possibly do amount of times they achieve lr with above 5 t's. For warden this might be harder but the amount of times they achieve lr as being warden throughout the whole round.

Course could be map record, stage record, comparison of your time and the wr. Map records owned stage records owned seconds missing from map record. Also could have ranks for legit, auto bhop, low grav, ect. Maybe a sync could be ranked. Kind of like in KZ.

Ranks should be by experience.

I think players should be ranked on experience, if they continue to be ranked on experience people should receive prizes for the level reached.

Maybe have a tag that says your rank

Examples

[TIER I] 1-9

[TIER II] 10-19

[TIER III] 20-29

[TIER IV] 30-39

and so on..

Or 

[Beginner] 1-9

[Skilled] 10-19

[Intermediate] 20-29

[Experienced] 30-39

[Advanced] 40-49

[Senior] 50-59

[Expert] 60-69

[Master] 70-79

[Elite] 80-89

[God] 90-(unlimited)
oh you mean server ranks...

Base it on, records held, maps beaten, maps played, levels beaten, what style you use, etc.

I remember months ago me and another player came up with a detailed plan for this.  I have ideas for it but it depends on how costly it would be to run  through lots of data to calculate each player's rank.  Also, there are a few different ways of ranking you could choose from.

1 - All players are ranked from best to worst.  Like the current system but using a custom stat instead of time played

2 - Have predetermined ranks, like competitive ranks, which players are given.

My main idea is to have each map time personal best count towards your "score", and map completions be weighted based on how hard/long a map is, as well as how many other people have beaten it/time the server has been on the map

Aso would like to add that I don't really like the current XP system since it does the reflect skill, just completions.  People who restart often to aim for better times don't get much xp

I think the whole xp system should be re-worked. As Hymns said, its all about completions and not skill. There should be a certain amount of xp given out a map depending on what time you get on a map and what tier it is. And when someone beats your time, you lose some xp. Not sure if Im explaining this clear enough but message me if you like this kind of system better. Again its pretty much the same as what Hymns said but this the only way to give players proper ranks.

I think it should work with better your time is on a stage or map, the more xp you gain. Just like the surf servers.
