How to make a map for CSGO

No, I'm not going to tell you how to make a map for CSGO. However, I am going to give you some VERY useful links to use before you ask someone how to make a map.

I get asked SDK specific questions constantly, and I typically do not have any issues answering them. I do, however, have an issue answering questions that can easily be answered by skimming through any of these 4 websites.

Also, this thread can be used for aspiring map makers to post questions, and open to answers from the community (only from people who have mapped before! Looking at you, RAiD, stay out).

When riding a func_tanktrain and colliding with a wall, instead of being pushed off I get stuck inside and get a "Server stuck on object (map name)" Will this happen on swoobles or does the course server have some sort of plugin or measure to prevent this? I'm trying to have the obstacles push you off instead of just making a kill trigger.

It will probably happen on Swoobles too. Try a func_tracktrain. Also, are the obstacles themselves moving entities?

I'll try it, and no the obstacles are just walls (brushes) and the moving platform goes underneath it but instead of getting pushed off the player gets clipped in the brush and that error pops up in the top right

update for anyone that might run into this in the future: Select the obstacle (mine was a func_detail) go to edit>tie to world and it will make it a world brush instead of a brush entity or whatever

I may make a bhop mapping tutorial if anyone is interested.  It would relate to mapping in general, but go more in depth to making something for bhop specifically.
