Allow some casuals to +rep admin applications

#11
One of the only upsides I see to this is the potential increase of forum activity by casuals. That would be nice to see, casuals would feel like they'd have a certain impact on how the community is running. However, as some of you said, this could turn into a disaster, and it most likely will...

This isn't a minor change. As Boop said, we've had admin apps accepted with +0s and only casual reps. At the end of the day, the Leads have the discretion to accept an app or not, whether it's at -3, +0 or even +10.

if those casuals are trusted enough to +.5 admin applications then they should just apply for admin anyway lol

Even if lead apps +/- dont count, they show how great this feature would be if it would be allowed on all apps.

no it shows the opposite. i could easily get 11 of my friends to +.5 me rn but i chose to not have that happen. its just not a good idea when there are at least over 2400 people with over a 100 hours so playtime wouldn't really matter.

The possibility for a negative outcome doesn’t negate the purpose of promoting positive change. This would 100% lead to a mass increase in casuals being involved in the community and on the forums more than now. This is the same as the argument we had about the military being “too dangerous” to work for as opposed to an education based career. Just because something has the possibility to be negative doesn’t make it automatically a better option to just disregard it. It’s  the same as people who are attempting to start their own business. Lots of possible negative outcomes, however the positives most definitely outweigh those. Pros and cons to every situation, and the negatives should only dictate the decision making if the outcome was to be so catastrophic that it would unravel the community. There is already a friend based admin situation, and admins would still have end say, and with new leads coming in soon this could be issue number 1 assigned to fix, or moderate more and assure this isn’t happening.

Also, as I’ve said 100 times, leads still can deny an app if it’s overwhelmingly positive if they feel something is amiss.

Hours would probably not be the requirement. Obviously if it was hours, 100 is way too low of hours.

No need to even give level 1's permission to +.5 it makes no sense giving casuals it. There would be WAY too many reps and it would make getting admin way easier and considering it's already INSANELY easy to get level 1 I don't see them needing to change this anytime soon.

Then maybe when adding the +.5 feature, add a higher requirement instead of 3.
