Hey, I'd just like to share a really nice tutorial on how to prevent W10 from spying on you (which probably is happening at this very moment). You don't have to follow this tutorial and you can continue on doing whatever you were doing before.

However, if you care about the following things not happening:

- Getting your internet history logged and sent to Microsoft.
- Getting your personal address and ip logged.
- Having the risk of getting your microphone/webcam recorded.
- Getting easily identified and having your personal information compromised.
- Having your information sold to big corporations.
- Having your typing history logged.

Then I'd suggest taking a good look at Jerry's tutorial (the guy who made the video).

Video:

Disable Windows 10 Spying - Privacy & Security

If you followed the tutorial and did like he said, you might just want to consider getting a paid VPN that has a reputation of not keeping logs to further privatize yourself.

Not trying to advertise but I highly recommend Private Internet Access. They actually have a sale right now.

When I did the windows 10 install I made sure to go in the custom install options and untick all the spyware shit.  Should I do this as well?

This only takes care of parts of it. There are a lot of things (not just privacy) that should be disabled after you install windows 10.

Every other update it seems they are forcing those options back on. You might want to recheck regardless.

Did you guys watch the video, because there is a program that is meant for blocking spying services and making sure they stay off after every update. *Cough Spybot-anti-beacon

If you think privacy is unimportant for you because you have nothing to hide, you might as well say free speech is unimportant for you because you have nothing useful to say.
